Disability Related Incidents
Surrey Police define a disability related incident to be:
"Any incident perceived to be on the grounds of a person's physical or mental impairment by the victim or any other person."
Surrey Police commenced recording hate crime related incidents against persons with disabilities in September 2004.
You can report Hate Crime in confidence by selecting the method of your choice.

Surrey Police Statement on Hate Crime
Surrey Police will not tolerate any form of Hate Crime and will
speedily respond, investigate, identify and prosecute offenders to the satisfaction
of the victim and the community, thereby seeking to reduce repeat victimisation.
Surrey Police recognise the reluctance of some victims to come forward to police
for a variety of reasons. We are committed to identifying and prosecuting perpetrators.
Reporting incidents to police provides essential information which enables us to
prevent further incidents taking place and to identify those responsible.

investigate all forms of Hate Crime. We will give high priority to the investigation
of Hate rime and a full range of investigative and forensic tactices will be employed.
